Join BNHRA

Congratulations on taking the initiative in joining the preeminent professional organization in WNY for Human Resource practitioners. To become a member of BNHRA, you must meet the following membership requirements:

General Members
General members are limited to those persons actively engaged in bona fide human resources work and who devote at least 50% of their time to human resources or labor relations functions; the faculty members holding an assistant, associate or full professional rank in human resources or labor relations functions; or their specialized phases at an accredited college or university. Local dues provide for local chapter membership and services; national dues provide national membership and services. Succession to membership is not permissible.

Associate Members
Persons outside the foregoing category who demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Board of Directors a bona fide interest in human resources and labor relations shall be eligible for Associate Membership.

Retired Members
Any member in good standing at the time of retirement from any firm, organization or institution may become a Retired Life member by meeting the eligibility requirements and the payment of one time dues fee to SHRM.

Student Members

Student Members are individuals who are enrolled Full Time in a Human Resources or related field as students at an accredited University or College and are members of a student chapter affiliated with SHRM. Furthermore, to qualify as a Student member, the individual must not have worked in a Human Resource related profession. (Internships or Co-Ops do not apply). Student Members shall have no vote, and may not hold office in BNHRA.

Membership is on an individual basis and cannot be transferred to any other person(s). Membership expires 12 months from the date the application isapproved. BNHRA reserves the right to refuse or deny membership.

New Members

If you would like to become a member of the Buffalo Niagara Human Resource Association, and you meet the requirements listed above as they pertain to you, you may apply by using our New Member Online Application Form. This on-line form is for new members only.

Returning Members

If you have been a member of BNHRA but have let your membership lapse since 2003 or prior, please contact the chapter administrator at 716-662-0867.

If you have been a member since 2004 but have let your membership lapse, then you only need to renew your membership. Please contact the chapter administrator at 716-662-0867.

General Membership Package Options:

BNHRA Member only = $50
BNHRA membership price for Non-National SHRM members

National SHRM Member ($10 savings) = $40
BNHRA membership price for current National SHRM members

National SHRM and BNHRA membership ($15 savings) = $185
Includes BNHRA membership (new or renewal) and NEW National SHRM membership. Only choose this option if you are not already a National member. Renewing SHRM members cannot use this option.

PLUS Membership Packages:

Please note for the following PLUS packages - Prepaid dinner meeting are non-transferable and non-refundable. Pre-paid meetings include 8 BNHRA dinner meetings plus the social event (held in June or August). You are responsible for registering yourself for each event through the website. Your membership account will be assigned 10 points for you to use when registering online for each event which will be used as your payment for each event.

BNHRA Member PLUS ($50 savings) = $220
Includes BNHRA membership for non-national SHRM members plus 10 pre-paid BNHRA dinner meetings.

National SHRM Member PLUS ($60 savings) = $200
Includes BNHRA membership for current SHRM members plus 10 pre-paid BNHRA dinner meetings.

National SHRM and BNHRA Memberships PLUS ($75 savings) = $365
Includes BNHRA membership (new or renewal); NEW national SHRM membership (only choose this option if you are not already a national SHRM member) plus 10 pre-paid BNHRA dinner meetings during 2007.
